Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid
Opened in 2012 as part of New Fantasyland's expansion. Riders board oversized clamshells that wind through animatronic-heavy scenes of the film — Sebastian leading 'Under the Sea' with dancing fish, the kiss-the-girl boat scene, Ursula at her cauldron, and the Ariel-becomes-human finale. The ride borrows its omnimover hardware from the Haunted Mansion and uses it well: scenes scroll past at a leisurely pace, with one or two audio-animatronics big enough to genuinely impress (Ursula is the highlight). Often a near walk-on midday.
