★Magic Kingdom·Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland Speedway
One of the oldest attractions in the park, opened in 1971 in essentially its current form. The cars top out at around seven mph along a half-mile track, but they're real internal-combustion vehicles with steering wheels and brake pedals — and that, for kids old enough to reach the pedals, is the whole point. The gas fumes and middling pace make it divisive among adults; the height-requirement-met grin on a six-year-old's face is what keeps it on the docket.

Also in Tomorrowland: The continuous-load theater usually absorbs crowds well, and the predictable pacing is useful for overloaded groups.
