A Walt-era opening-day classic where the ride itself — gentle boats motoring past audio-animatronic elephants, hippos, gorillas, and a backside of water — is really just a stage for the live skipper performing the script. Every cast member memorizes the canon of jokes and then delivers them at their own pace, with their own embellishments. A 2021 refresh updated some dated scenes and added new gags. The most repeatable attraction at the park; no two rides have quite the same delivery.
