Skull Island: Reign of Kong

Opened in 2016. Twelve-passenger expedition trucks roll through a jungle queue full of native carvings and animatronic crew members, then pass into a series of scenes mixing physical sets with massive 3D screens — pterosaurs, giant insects, a tribal village. The Kong finale is a 36-foot animatronic that the truck stops directly in front of. Whether you find the ride mostly thrilling or mostly cinematic depends on which seat you're in.
