Wonderful World of Animation

A purely projection-based show that turns the Chinese Theater's facade and surrounding buildings into a screen. Mickey Mouse hosts a chronological run through Disney animation — Steamboat Willie through modern Pixar — set to a contemporary remix of Disney themes. About 12 minutes; no fireworks. Often performed twice on busy nights, with the second showing sometimes immediately after Fantasmic. Crowd density on Hollywood Boulevard builds 15–20 minutes ahead but sightlines are forgiving — the projection canvas is so tall that views from mid-boulevard are still excellent.
