Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail

One of two major walking trails at the park (the other in Asia) and arguably the more rewarding. The trail winds through the Pangani Forest, with viewing windows on lowland gorillas (often a full troop visible), an underwater hippo viewing area, a meerkat colony, naked mole rats, an aviary, and African colobus monkeys. Generous shade, multiple bench-rest stops, and excellent placards. Roughly 30 minutes to do thoroughly; faster if the gorillas are sleeping.
